EcoMan Laboratory Systems
EcoMan was established in 1990. Since then, our scope has been widely expanded to include the provision of training, laboratory development towards accreditation, laboratory auditing, providing proficiency testing schemes in different matrices, in addition to all types of technical support to laboratories and laboratory stakeholders.
1. Laboratory Development Towards Accreditation :
EcoMan provides all support to all kinds of laboratories in all the activities that are required for the laboratories to obtain, maintain and ex-tend their accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 15189. Our support can be in the following forms:
A comprehensive project to qualify the laboratory towards accreditation. This includes training of the laboratory staff in all aspects required to establish, implement and maintain the management system. It also includes direct assistance and supervision on establishing and implementing the documentation and accumulating the records required for accrediting the laboratory activities:

2.Laboratory Auditing Services :
To ensure the laboratories compliance with the accreditation standards as well as the regulatory standards, EcoMan offers its auditing services the following forms:
conducted to obtain a comprehensive idea about an existing situation and decide on future steps towards accreditation.
conducted either by our representatives or by the laboratory staff under our representative assistance and supervision to provide on hands training.
conducted by our representatives to simulate the assessments performed by the accreditation body. This gives the laboratory management the confidence in the laboratory status before having the official accreditation visit. It also helps the laboratory staff gets familiar with the activities conducted during the accreditation visit.
3. Proficiency Testing Schemes :
To provide integrated and comprehensive services to our customers to comply with their accreditation requirements, EcoMan organizes and manages Proficiency Tests (PTs) schemes in as many scopes as required by our customers. All our PT services are complying with ISO/IEC 17043 requirements.
EcoMan strives to provide excellent turnaround time, quality, cost efficient, and value added service to our customers as well as the highest levels of customer information confidentiality.
We accept special requests for PT rounds and welcome our customer comments, feedback, and even complaints or appeals for which we have a strict procedure that ensures the proper resolution of the problem, if any, so that our customer is satisfied and our system is improved.
4. Laboratory Technical Support
EcoMan offers a wide array of technical services to its laboratory customers to help them achieve and maintain excellence in their service provision to their clients. Our services include, but are not limited to the following:
- Developing a technically detailed list of procurements for a particular testing scope including equipment, chemical, reagents, certified reference materials, reference standards, and glassware.
- Assisting in adapting and validating the most capable and cost efficient test method.
- Coaching and supervising operation and troubleshooting of test equipment (GC, HPLC, GC-MS, GC-(MS)n, HPLC-MS, HPLC-(MS)n, AA, ICP, ICP-MS,
- spectrophotometers, incubators, freeze-driers…etc)
- Developing Sampling Plans
- Development and validation of in-house methods
- Coaching and supervising estimating measurement uncertainties
- Interpretation and reporting of testing results
- Assisting in investigating and resolving customer complaints
- Assisting in planning for the calibration of the laboratory equipment
- Working as the laboratory representative to perform logistics of purchasing of laboratory services or supplies
5. Support to Laboratory Stakeholders
Laboratory stakeholders are the end users of the laboratory services. They do not necessarily have the technical capabilities to ensure the quality of the laboratory results. EcoMan can be the laboratory stakeholder representative in, but not limited to, the following:
- Identifying the most capable laboratories for the desired services
- Developing and implementing sampling plans
- Communicating with laboratories, including attending analysis of samples
- Interpretation and statistical analysis of laboratory results
