Introduction

Attendees will learn how to develop a safety and environmental management program (SEMP) in accordance with API Recommended Practice 75 (RP75), a voluntary initiative encouraged by the Minerals Management Service (MMS) of the U.S. Department of the Interior. The course explains how to integrate SEMP into other corporate loss control management programs and how to maintain an evergreen program for reducing the likelihood and/or minimizing the consequences of uncontrolled releases of toxics, flammables, and other hazardous materials. The course is composed of presentations, class discussions, and problem-solving sessions.
