Introduction

This 5-days training is a highly practical event designed to enable trainers to prepare, design, construct, deliver and evaluate high-impact learning sessions. That is to deliver sessions that stimulate attention and enable learning to meet objectives. It also enables trainers to produce training skills that are relevant to the organization, achieving its mission, vision, and goals. Trainers are the centerpiece of a memorable and successful training session. This course aims at providing trainees with the knowledge and skills required to design and deliver their training sessions. A trainer's journey on this course begins with an understanding of how adults learn and covers various learning styles, skills of trainers, various learning methods, activities and exercises, the designing of training programs and ends with the delivery of training.

Objectives

    The knowledge and skills learned in this program will underpin the ability to:

    • Identify and develop skills required in successful trainers.
    • List various adult learning principles and their implications on the delivery of training.
    • Examine training methods and determine the most appropriate for their training workshops.
    • Apply training models in the design and delivery of training programs.
    • Write specific Instructional Learning Objectives (ILOs).
    • Develop blueprints for training sessions.
    • Plan and deliver a training session relevant to their areas of expertise.
    • Participants are expected to come prepared with a 20-Minute PowerPoint training session on a business-related topic. This training session will be improved during the program and delivered on the last day.

    • Improve the quality of learning sessions and maximize the benefit to the attendees

    • Select, sequence, and structure the training content to achieve the objectives
    • Deliver effective training sessions
    • Select and use dynamics visual presentations for support

Training Methodology

This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies, and presentations on best practices. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations. The online course is conducted online using MS-Teams/ClickMeeting.
