Introduction
The training program reviews the basic types and laws for fans suitable for different applications. Trainees will be able to evaluate duct losses, select proper fan/fan system and estimate the suitable fan size and power consumption.
The trainee will also gain knowledge and experience on different methods for fan speed/flow control, noise, testing, specification, and commissioning.
Objectives
- Understanding the fluid flow basics in ducts and perform calculations for both axial and centrifugal fans.
- Comparative assessment of different fan types based on energy consumption, size, and noise.
- Grasp the basic fan laws and evaluate the needed fan size for a specific application.
Training Methodology
The program is delivered in a combination of lecture-style and computer-based training. In addition, a significant amount of time is set aside for small working group activity when addressing case study problems. Extensive use is made of case study material to underline the key aspects of the course and to give the delegates exposure to current best practice.
Who Should Attend?
Mechanical/Electrical Engineers, technicians and supervisors responsible for selection installation, commissioning, balancing of fans and fan systems.
