This course offers instruction on the technical and practical fundamentals of coating inspection work for structural steel projects. This course provides the candidates with knowledge of coating materials and techniques for surface preparation and application that prepares the student to perform basic coating inspections using non-destructive techniques and inspection instrumentation.
This course focuses on advanced inspection techniques and specialized application methods for both steel and non-steel substrates, including concrete using both non-destructive and destructive techniques. Surface preparation, coating types, inspection criteria, lab testing, and failure modes for various coatings, including specialized coatings and linings are also covered.

Training Methodology
This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies, and presentations on best practice. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations. The online course is conducted online using MS-Teams/ClickMeeting.
