Techlog Petrophysical Software

Introduction

In this course, you discover the TechlogTM Interactive Suite, which brings all of your wellbore data together in a collaborative Wellbore Platform environment. You learn about the data model within the Techlog platform and the foundation utilities for importing, exporting, manipulating, and displaying data in the system, including core and images. You explore the principles behind the powerful Application Workflow Interface by creating workflows for single and multiwell use.

Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

    • To be familiar with TechLOG software functionalities & its applications.
    • Recognize and explain different TechLOG modules and disciplines.
    • Learn and recognize what types of Data TechLOG can evaluate & analyze.
    • How and what types of Data could be acquired in Open/Cased Hole.
    • How to identify zones of interest, Logs affected by borehole conditions, logs effected by formation minerals and composition.
    • Petrophysical evaluation methods and how to choose between them.
    • Enhance your Petrophysics knowledge and recognize what are the challenges that Petrophysicist deals with nowadays.
    • You’ll be able to load datasets, QC Logs, Export Datasets, and Prepare and Edit Data, load and edit formation tops, identify reservoirs & lithologies.
    • Estimate Petrophysical parameters, Identify and optimize the interpretation parameters.

Training Methodology

The program is delivered in a combination of lecture-style and computer-based training. In addition, a significant amount of time is set aside for small working group activity when addressing case study problems. Extensive use is made of case study material to underline the key aspects of the course and to give the delegates exposure to current best practice.
