Oil & Gas Piping Engineering Design with PDMS & AutoCAD

Introduction

This program provides comprehensive AutoCAD MEP training on how to design, model, and make construction documents for a piping system used in oil and gas companies, petrochemical companies, and commercial, institutional, and wastewater environments. The hands-on exercises teach how to layout systems from schematic design through to the design development and project construction documentation phases.

Objectives

This Program’s Attendees Will Be More Able To:

    • Create, label, and modify a process flow diagram
    • Create a piping model and define route preferences
    • Place piping equipment
    • Layout pipes and fittings
    • Layout symbols, lines, and inline annotation in ISO mode
    • Tag, schedule, and plot process flow diagrams and piping models

Training Methodology

This is an interactive course. There will be open question and answer sessions, regular group exercises and activities, videos, case studies, and presentations on best practice. Participants will have the opportunity to share with the facilitator and other participants on what works well and not so well for them, as well as work on issues from their own organizations. The online course is conducted online using MS-Teams/ClickMeeting.
